No.
A title does not affect anybody. He can show it off, nobody cares.
You are just jealous of him that he can get things that you will never get because if you could get that title, you would. But you can't. So you are mad.
You don't know me enough to say i'm mad. far from it just merely stating a fact. He's flossin a synched title & has to get his little girlfriend to get his acc's unban lol. Not to mention he's also a scammer. Which you called me & i'll give you my Panda if you can prove it. Cause I know you can't lol

Mods please for the love of god stop deleting my replies. ty

Edit : i know Shaq and Akey are C8 by now.

just saw a c10 and a c7 in kamadan, both from [mojo] but they're a pure sync guild

Just a reminder that it's been a full year since the banwave.

Fat load of good it did in the long run!

It sure did for the most part, sadly there are still alot of the same botters active to this day.
May the charracters of many rest in peace due the collateral damage of Anets "massive" purge on its playerbase.

well, I think it showed a few things to us.
One, they had no idea about what is going on in guildwars.
Two you shouldnt let someone who is clueless about a game do the banning of people in said game.
Three they were ill prepared to deal with a large player base all putting in tickets at the same time.
Four, they did not deal with those people all in the same way--they did not have (and probably still dont have) a set of directions that all agents use to keep on the same wavelength. (when I worked for a major retail company in customer service we had weekly meetings on this, to keep everyone giving the same answers and such).
And five, they no longer care what happens with this game.

What I really don't understand is why they'd go out of their way to unban people who were correctly banned.

they are pretty clueless about this game, they mindlessly banned people--some for really breaking the rules others for being in the wrong place at the wrong time--they were unable to handle the fallout from that, so they just unbanned most of those banned, once again not hinging on whether they had broken the rules or not, this tells me they really have no idea what they are doing and really could care the &%$# less about how this game is right now.
So they are pretty out of touch with the game and the player base (and it appears they dont wish to be in contact with either now).

I think Anet took the common sense approach... from their point of view anyway.

Anet has moved on from this game and after seeing the uproar of banned accounts, probably didn't want to divert the time and money it would've taken to separate the good from the bad and reban them again. Better to just give the majority back their accounts and be done with it. The botters/cheaters can be quite vocal and ready to submit tickets no matter how guilty they are and again, that takes time to deal with.

I genuinely feel bad for the innocent players while the cheaters laughed it off on other forums and even in game how they got away with it just by making a fuss.

a hypothetical situation; a corporation neglects one of it's older products to the extent that it's customer base gains a significant amount of corrupt users, users of other products by the corporation see this, and realise that the product they use will probably suffer the same neglect sooner or later, and slowly the corporation loses marketplace trust

If it's possible to play Guild Wars 2 in multiple windows (not sure, since I haven't checked), then it'll definitely face the same fate sooner or later, until the matter gets resolved in a proper way (where banning accounts in batches is not the most efficient among all solutions).

I was feeling nostalgic and came back here to check on the aftermath.

I was always vocally against botting, and tolerated it for so many years. Eventually it annoyed me so much that I thought "If I can't beat em, join em...", just a few months before the banwave came. I lost all 10 of my accounts, and they are still banned. In my last year I bought new accounts, character slots and mercenary slots.

My only complaint is that the botting and gold selling still remains. The botting had always affected the economy, and then it ruined my own fun. I remember learning of their existence before hard mode, seeing all the monks in the desert. If finally the botting had been stopped, I would have considered buying some new accounts. Why would I return, and risk losing new accounts? Why return to a ruined economy where botting continues even a year after they were supposedly purged? Why can anet not keep the game bot-free?

Sadly, even if one of my accounts had survived, I would likely lose interest by seeing a great game ruined by continuing botting. I had hoped it was now bot-free...so I might as well spend my $ on my new fave game (which is bot-free and void of gold sellers [LOTRO]). Time to move on, and keep the nostalgia in my memories. Cheers.

Hypothetical, and hypothetical it is.

I've not had this distrust for any other gaming company who handle game servers with login accounts. No one, this one however I will state my distrust vocally in real life and online. It has happened so many times in the past X amount of years, from the blanket bans to the random accounts being hacked in waves day after day from users totally baffled as to how it was happening. People we know that wouldn't fall victim to phishing, magically having their account logged into and stripped. That's a whole other ugly animal.

yes, the majority of those banned last year during the january/february bans were reinstated (me included). You might want to send Gaile an email if you were not reinstated as well. (or check your account(s) to see if you can log in).

Took me that whole year of showing them the error of their ways to get my Accounts unbanned. But thankfully they saw the light & I got the only one I wanted back. The other 4 still ban I don't have the info for as they were given to me. such is life.

But I've been in contact with GM's about the blatant buying & selling of game items for sale in game for irl currency. People cheating to gain unfair advantage ect. I won't mention any names but a certain someone we know shits arms magically. No they weren't subject to our discussion but just using as example. R15's are popping up every week also. I never got into that part of the game as it would take to much time away from my power trading. ;-)

For those wishing to submit a ticket

http://help.guildwars2.com/home

Top right hand corner "Submit a Request"

in the drop down menu choose "Original Guild Wars"

IMO It's worth submitting tickets if you care anything at all about this game.

They recently added a new team for ticket reviews so it won't hurt to try & submit a ticket.

sorry to hear that, but if you have some fight left in you--you can try Title's suggestion (IF you have a gw2 account, otherwise you cant log into their system at all-----).

and yeah, it is very ....disturbing that even when we were all banned, there were STILL those gold sellers in kamadan, eye, gtob---and they were never banned even when they have blatantly posted selling gold for cash in the trade window!

I did send Gaile a message as was suggested earlier, and she even replied!
She told me that she has no power or authority in this area and to contact customer service.
Just as Title Points R Us just explained.
Thanks for that info, made it easy for me to know exactly what to do, and I submitted a ticket...

I'm in discussions with a GM about those as we speak. Not to sure why they let them keep spamming this long. Those are bots. They run a macro to keep posting repeatedly. Why their "Detection methods" didn't pick up on them i'll never know. Or will I? Time will tell.

I've also been talking with Gaille & she told me the same thing. Sad really losing her seeing she cared the most for this game.
